We need more positivity

A positive outlook on anything is dumb

Negativity in social spheres is seen as a detracting social trait. Depression, death anxiety, and even realistic prospects about life in general are shunned. Instead, a perverted sense of positivity that ignores reality has crept into modern society. Magnified by routine and media, the facts of existence are generally ignored by the proximity of chips and cultural norms of sport and beer. The growth in tragedy, the joy of melancholy, and even accomplishment in death have no modern medium. They are instead replaced with happy hour conversations about weather and yearly vacations to beachfront properties that include tanning salons and pools. Here are a few points on modern positivity

The modern era leaves no mark and isn’t worth saving (unfortunately in list order)

T.V. and internet as a medium convey little meaning and value to society. The net intelligence and social stability of society is hurt by their existence. It is a good thing that they are behaviorally and mechanically necessary as part of everyone's daily lives.

Social media (facebook, instagram, snapchat, reddit) is essentially a combination of attention seeking behaviors, group telephone, and social politics from the terror. Social habit, in this regard, is reactive, reductive, and amounts to either group think or grandstanding.

Architecture amounts to franchise based enforcement and art deco. Modernity's greatest contribution to material is plastic. Golden arches are the modern era’s most noticeable motif.

People don’t think, this is in all aspects. For themselves, during their daily lives, and even when they have to do so for work or school thought is absent. The brain is essentially as useless as the appendix. Beer and weed should take care of modernity's intellectual problems.

Culturally, deeper norms in every medium are on the outskirts of cotton candy layered depth. Plastic, like a filament, covers the majority of prepackaged literary and electronic mediums. The complexity of a story is replaced with bright lights, loud noises, and quippy exposition. Characters are cookie cutter and formulaic to attract interest. Storytelling as an exercise is more about eating than learning.

Humor is gone. Satire is replace with benign observation that lacks depth. Stories are unrelatable. Comedy still remains one of the viewable places society draws deeper connections and insight. It does so through vagina jokes and farts. Schizophrenic soundbites of humor occupy 20 second bits, and loosely connect similar themes. The modern mind can’t handle comedy through condition or connection.

Everything else in the universe is dead

The universe contains more dead material than living. The most complex life we may have found away from earth is either a fossil or single celled. Everything else in the universe kills you by existing. Space is a vacuum, the sun is super cancer, and most of the other solid planets in our universe don’t even have an atmosphere. The other planets do not have a surface you could stand on.

Death is the only universal constant.

Earth is alive because its not everything else.
