In the Trump age, politics does not matter

As a process general politics is dead. Autocratic bureaucracy is necessitated, and the function of that process is a fossil (forms for permission and reactive aid). The end result is a slope without affiliation or direct political interest.

Gerrymandering and redistricting have been in the public eye since reconstruction. The dangers of said process have always been projected into the future, but a new false majority has emerged. A primary result of redistricting was the 2016 election (examine election results from the Bush and Trump elections and compare them to Project Red Maps provided materials). (1) The resulting localities constitute a 2/3rds majority that could call for a constitutional amendment or convention. Every major social and political movement of the 20th century is up for grabs. Roe v. Wade, speech, privacy, guns, and citizenship are all essentially decided on two layers. By federal process a majority has been established, and by function a back up by automated vote has redactive power. Politic is no longer participatory, but instead determined. The danger of this can be seen in recent changes to the EPA.

The EPA handles the things that keep you alive, but most people do not actively care about the environment on a actively political level.(2) Passive involvement via consumerism or rally is essentially the maximal effort most citizens can put forth.(3) The EPA was founded during the Nixon administration, and was part of a larger emerging naturalist movement.(4) It was founded as an independent agency to check political and economic interest with environmental needs. The first actions of the Trump administration were to gut the funding for the EPA and place members in it whom did not believe in waste management or global warming. (5) With its funding gutted by committee, sometimes just the ethics committee, the EPA serves as a nonexistent fossil that will simply cease to be.

While a danger in not having a place to live is catastrophic, humanity can rely on hyper automozation and super ecology to save the species from complete collapse. The bureaucratic problem with the planet will still remain. An entire protective arm of the government has simply disappeared. Access and limitation to guns became and passed through as an extension of access and usage of guns with minimal public discourse. (6) The problem with this is not in outcome, but process. Eventually someone will pass an everyone gets aids bill as a joke. Without anyone blinking it will pass, and that will be the end of the world by absurdist politic.

2) Air quality, water, waste management, the environment, and even the emergence of dangerous natural phenomena are all handled by the EPA.

3) The whole video on ideology is good, but does not apply to the text https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGpc_hg48ps,

4) “Silent Spring”, increased acid rain, the rise of the vegetarian and vegan movements, and the return to nature movement of the late 70s were all present at this time.
5) The placement of Scott Pruitt was followed by an expansion on the definition of wastewater, increased drilling on public land, changes in air quality bills, and the expansion of chemical and public waste limitation. (Not particularly republican in origin, the expansion of utility and industrial interest into the environment is financially and not politically motivated)

6) It is easier to get guns in most states and you can carry guns in public spaces in most pro-guns states
